Restore Your Home’s Integrity with Expert Roof Repair

From storm damage to stubborn leaks, we identify hidden failure points and stop water intrusion for good.

Don’t Just Patch the Symptom. Fix the Root Cause.

There is a significant difference between a temporary patch and a permanent repair. When dealing with water intrusion, guesswork is expensive. Too many so-called “fixes” fail within a year because they only address visible damage, leaving the underlying failure point untouched.

At RūfPlus, we take a diagnostic approach to every repair call. We know that the spot where water drips onto your ceiling is rarely where it entered the roof. We trace the issue back to its source—whether it’s faulty flashing, aged pipe boots, or wind-lifted shingles—and provide a lasting solution that integrates seamlessly with your existing roof system. We fix it right, so you only have to fix it once.

Flashing is the metal bridging the gap between your roof and features like chimneys or walls. When it rusts, pulls away, or the sealant fails, it creates a direct highway for water to enter your walls and attic structure.

The rubber gasket designed to seal around plumbing pipes is highly susceptible to sun damage. Over time, it dries out, cracks, or rots away completely, allowing rainwater to run down the exterior of the pipe and right onto your ceiling below.

Like tires, shingles wear out. As they age, they lose the protective granule coating that acts as their sunscreen. Without these granules, the asphalt dries out, curls at the edges, and becomes brittle, compromising the entire roof’s ability to shed water.

Often caused by thermal shock (rapid hot-and-cold cycles in Midwest weather) or hail impact, a crack is a direct breach in the shingle’s armor. Water seeps through these fissures, slowly rotting the wooden decking underneath.

Usually the victim of high winds, a missing shingle leaves a bare spot on your roof’s defense. The vulnerable underlayment (paper or synthetic felt) is exposed directly to the sun and rain, making a leak almost inevitable during the next storm.

Signs Your Roof Needs Immediate Repairs

Your roof is an expert at hiding damage until it’s almost too late. Often, by the time you notice a visible symptom inside your home, water has been silently compromising the decking, insulation, or framing for weeks or months.

Catching these distress signals early is the difference between a manageable repair and extensive structural restoration. If you notice any of these signs, do not wait for the next rainstorm to call us.

Finding the Source & Fixing It the First Time

A quality roof repair requires a different mindset than a full replacement. It’s investigative work. We don’t just patch the wet spot on your ceiling; we trace the water back to its exact entry point on the roof—which is often feet away from where the leak appears inside. Our process is designed to be thorough, transparent, and reliable.

Rapid Response & Initial Triag

Roof damage doesn’t run on a schedule. When you call with an active leak or storm damage, we prioritize getting a team member to your property quickly to assess the situation and, if necessary, apply emergency temporary measures to prevent further interior damage.

The Forensic Diagnostic Inspection

The Forensic Diagnostic Inspection

This is where we differentiate ourselves from the “guy with a bucket of tar.” Our experts get on the roof and conduct a forensic examination. We check flashing seals, inspect vent boots, lift shingles to check underlayment, and even enter the attic to trace water trails. We find the root cause, not just the symptom.

Transparent Findings & Honest Solutions

Transparent Findings & Honest Solutions

We believe in showing, not just telling. We document our findings with clear photos so you can see exactly what we see. We then provide an honest assessment: if a repair will restore your roof’s integrity, we’ll give you a clear, flat-rate price to fix it. If the damage is too extensive and a repair would be wasting your money, we will tell you that truthfully.

Frequently Asked Roof Repair Questions

This is the biggest fear with repairs, and frankly, it’s valid with many contractors who just apply a “band-aid” of roofing tar. At RūfPlus, we don’t just patch the surface. Our diagnostic process finds the root cause of the water entry—whether it’s rusted flashing, a rotted vent boot, or wind-lifted shingles—and we perform a surgical repair that integrates seamlessly with the surrounding roof system. We fix it right so you don’t have to fix it again.

We believe in honest advocacy. We look at three main factors: the age of your current roof, the extent of the damage, and the overall condition of the remaining shingles. If a repair will extend the life of your roof significantly for a reasonable cost, we will recommend it. However, if your roof is nearing the end of its lifespan and a repair would just be throwing good money after bad, we will tell you the truth and recommend a replacement.

Matching new shingles to older, sun-faded ones is one of the biggest challenges in roof repair. While a 100% perfect match is sometimes impossible due to weathering, our craftsmen go to great lengths to source shingles that match the color, style, and granule blend as closely as possible. We aim for a repair that blends in, not one that stands out.

An active leak is an emergency. Please call us immediately. We prioritize active leak calls and aim to get a team member to your property ASAP to assess the situation and, if safe to do so, apply temporary emergency measures (like professional tarping) to stop water intrusion and protect your interior until a permanent repair can be made.

Generally, insurance covers sudden, accidental damage caused by events like wind, hail, or fallen trees. It typically does not cover leaks caused by normal wear and tear, aging shingles, or lack of maintenance. During our inspection, if we see signs of storm damage that may qualify for a claim, we will let you know and can guide you through that process.

We offer free initial assessments to determine the general nature of your problem. However, some complex leaks—especially those without obvious exterior damage—require a more in-depth, forensic diagnostic inspection (sometimes involving attic access or water testing) to pinpoint the entry source before we can quote a repair. We will always be upfront about our process before beginning any work.

This is common, especially with older leaks. We cannot ethically or safely install new materials over rotted decking. If we discover bad wood, we stop, take photos to show you, and provide a clear price to replace the damaged decking before proceeding. We believe in no surprises.

Yes. We stand behind our craftsmanship. We provide a warranty on the labor for our repair work to give you peace of mind. The specific terms depend on the scope of the repair and the condition of the existing roof, which we will clearly outline in your proposal.
